Qualifications:
Have you been staff on a server previously?: I have been a staff member on multiple servers across multiple platforms. Most recently I have been a Director (technically equivalent to server owner) of the most popular Garry's Mod Breach server (LB Breach). I've built the community on that server from the ground up, and we had a steady 60-70 player count from February to June of 2017. At a certain point we reached the Top 20s on the rank list of the most popular Garry's Mod servers on Gametracker. Additionally, I've previously been a Double Admin on Superior Server's DarkRP. I have also been a Super Admin on a very old TTT community called Luminosity around 4-5 years ago. I've also been a staff member on multiple other DarkRP servers here and there.
Why should you be made staff?: Squishy and I first joined the community about a month ago while looking through the list of servers on Garry's Mod. We were looking for a friendly server where we could have fun and meet new people. Eventually, while scrolling through the server list, Squishy came across PokemonRP. We noticed that there was finally a North American PokemonRP community up, which is a rare occurrence since these genres are usually dominated by the French monopoly. Either way, we gave it a try, and all I can say is that I am really glad that we joined. Ever since we joined we felt the warm welcome of the community. Everybody, both the staff members and the players, were really kind and helped us get the grip of the gamemode. Thanks to the friendliness of the community, we adapted quickly and were able to understand the gamemode with ease. As time passed, we made many friends on the server, including Teee, DatOneWeeb, Shiny, Momo and many others. Now that we are both familiar with the server, we would like to help the community out the best we can. I personally see great potential in this server, and would like to provide my help. I believe that my experience of being a high ranked staff member on multiple popular servers would help grow the community to the fullest of its potential.
What can you bring to the server?: First and foremost, I would bring a professional approach to staffing on the server. Needless to say, I hold a strong belief that everybody comes on the server to have fun, and I will do my best to ensure that the players have the best experience possible on the server. Be it by extending a helping hand, or providing assistance with a rulebreaker, I will always be there to ensure quality gameplay for the members of the community. Additionally, my previous experiences as a staff member gave me a great knowledge of ULX and LUA. I will be able to help out with fixing multiple bugs and issues of developmental concern. Additionally, I speak multiple languages (Russian, Azeri, Turkish, a bit of Spanish) and will be available to translate should a need arise to do so. But, qualifications and all aside, we're all here to enjoy ourselves and have fun. So, most importantly, the best thing I could bring to this community is kindness.
Situational Questions:
A player comes to you saying that another player has "RDM'd", but has no proof... what would you do?: My first step would be to gather as much evidence as possible to establish a clear scenario of the situation. I would use all administrative tools available to me in order to first fully investigate the situation and gain insight on the issue. If a damage log is present, I would take a peek at it. After gathering as much proof as possible, I would speak with the involved players and get some insight from them as to what happened. If there is sufficient evidence present to confirm that someone has indeed RDM'd, the person shall be consulted, and if absolutely necessary, punished. However, punishing is not in my best interest. Rather, I believe in light-hearted and down-to-earth conversation. If there is not enough sufficient evidence, no punishment shall be made in any form. Perhaps a verbal warning. In any case, I would still keep an eye on all the players involved in the situation, just in case something happens right after I let them go.
A player is spamming in chat... what would you do?: Firstly, I would ask the person in chat to stop doing so. If the player does not stop, I would mute the player in order to prevent chat spam. Then, I would teleport to the player and inform them of the rules, and that it is against the rules to spam in chat. I would then unmute the person and continue to monitor the situation.
A player joins the server and threatens to "DDoS" the server... what would you do?: Permanently ban (or the closest equivalent to that) the player and inform the highest ranked staff member online of the situation.
You see a staff member breaking a rule... what would you do?: First and foremost, talk to them and try to understand the reasoning behind their actions. If it was a minor server violation, I would consult the highest ranked staff member available to get advice on my next actions. If the staff member is massively and destructively abusing their powers, such as kicking everyone from the server, I would act quickly and defuse the situation by permanently banning (or the closest equivalent to that) the person and letting the highest ranked staff member online know about the situation.
There is a player spamming props... what would you do?: Freeze the player in order to prevent server crash. Teleport to the player and inform them of the rules. If the player continues, a warn will be issued. If the player continues to propspam after the warning(s), the player will be kicked and banned if necessary.
You see a few people arguing and it's been going on for a while... what would you do?: Try to resolve the situation by talking to all the participants in the conversation and trying to find a solution in a peaceful manner.
